Cookie Policy
Last updated: 22 July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how ViyasOne uses cookies and similar technologies (such as your browser's local storage) when you use our website and application. It complements our Privacy Policy, which describes in full how we process personal data.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We rely only on storage that is strictly necessary to operate the service and, optionally and only with your consent, on analytics.
1. Necessary cookies and storage
Strictly necessary cookies and local-storage entries are required for the service to work and cannot be switched off. They do not build a cross-site profile of you. We use them to:
- keep you signed in and maintain the security of your session (authentication is provided through Supabase);
- remember your cookie choice, so we do not ask you again on every visit. This is a single technically necessary entry stored in your browser's local storage under the key
india2germany-cookie-consent. It records only that essential functions are active, whether you allowed or declined optional analytics, and the time of your choice.
The legal basis for this strictly necessary storage is § 25(2) TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the storage is needed to provide a service you requested, such as staying signed in).
2. Analytics cookies
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), provided by Google Ireland Limited, to understand how our website is found and used so we can improve it. When enabled, GA4 sets cookies (for example _ga and _ga_<id>) to distinguish visitors and sessions.
Analytics is disabled by default. No Google Analytics scripts are loaded and no analytics cookies are set unless and until you consent. We use Google Consent Mode v2, and the advertising signals (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) remain permanently denied because we do not use any advertising features. The legal basis for analytics is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25(1) TDDDG.
3. Consent
When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline optional analytics. Essential storage is always active because the service cannot function without it. Optional analytics is set only if you choose to allow it. Your decision is stored so the banner is not shown again on every visit.
4. Withdrawal of consent
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. Open the link in the website footer and turn the Analytics category on or off. After you withdraw consent, no further data is collected through Google Analytics. You can also delete cookies and local-storage data through your browser settings at any time.
5. Cookie duration
- Consent preference (local storage,
india2germany-cookie-consent): persists in your browser until you change your choice or clear your browser storage. - Authentication/session: kept for the duration of your signed-in session and refreshed while you remain active; cleared when you log out.
- Google Analytics (only if you consent): GA4 cookies such as
_gaand_ga_<id>typically expire up to 24 months after they are set or last updated.
